Ocean Vibes

So recently I seem to have been focusing on flowers, and after a weekend away, I realised how much I had missed painting the ocean. My palette knife had been screaming out for bluey hues. I feel like there’s nothing quite like a palette knife painting when it comes to the sea. Instead of going crazy with a larger-than-my-studio canvas and never actually finishing it. I found these 8x8” canvases in my studio and thought they’d be perfect to get back into the ocean vibes.

I used a mix of ultramarine, phthalo blue, white and yellow ochre (plus a couple of others) to create these seascapes. At first I started with very serene calm views, but as I created them, they turned more stormy.

There are 6 paintings available, all 8x8” and all will make perfect companions for your office desk or shelf.
