Now, onto the exciting part! We'll be creating a unique terrarium painting, blending inspiration from various sources without directly replicating any copyrighted material. If you're seeking ideas, check out my Pinterest page for inspiration!
Instructions:
1. Sketching Outlines: Use a pencil and ruler to lightly sketch the elements of your terrarium. No need for intricate details; we're setting the groundwork.
2. Starting with Light Colors: Begin by adding beige stone colors and soil using diluted brown shades. Experimentation is key, especially if you're new to watercolors!
3. Adding Foliage: Incorporate vibrant leaves and foliage using gentle strokes. Start with pinks and transition to greens for that lush terrarium feel.
4. Building the Tree: Gradually craft the bonsai-like tree, layering different shades of green and brown to create depth and texture.
5. Detailing the Vase: Use a fine liner pen or paint to highlight the vase's shape and add distinct features. Don't be afraid to experiment with lines and shading!
Throughout the process, remember to embrace experimentation. Watercolor painting is all about letting creativity flow and discovering new techniques along the way.
