Let's dive right in!
Instructions:
1. Prepare the canvas. Grab your biggest brush, give it a little dampening with some water, and wipe off the excess moisture. Now, go bold with the white paint. Cover the background because it's gonna make those leaves pop.
2. Create a Base. For the lower part, whip up a beige-ish color with white and raw umber. Don't stress about perfection; it's just a base. Blend it out with a soft, irregular tree line.
3. Build the Background. Switch to your fan brush, dampen it slightly, and remove the excess water. Create a slightly darker tone with raw umber and white. Keep the brush strokes visible to mimic distant trees. Next, mix some green with white and a dash of red to desaturate it. Add foliage with a side-to-side motion.
4. Add Warm Colors. Now, let's spice things up with some oranges. Mix orange with a touch of raw umber for a warm brown. Use the brush's shape to create naturalistic tree leaves. Don't worry about messiness; it's all part of the plan. Extend this color to the path as well.
5. Layer and Detail. Blend orange and yellow for a vibrant hue and keep building those trees. Swap to a smaller round brush for tree trunks using raw umber. Lighten one side with raw umber and white for depth. Create a path with the same color. We're getting there!
6. Add Layers and Texture. Time to add depth to the foreground. Use a bigger brush to layer green, white, and orange. With the fan brush, create abstract foliage. Don't forget to sprinkle those fallen leaves on the ground for a cozy vibe.
7. Finish Strong. For the path, add warmth with a light orange. Gradually introduce intense orange in select areas for that wow factor. A little goes a long way! Don't forget the path; we want it to pop too.
8. Final Touches. Use white to highlight and refine. Add yellow details for fallen leaves and to bring the trees to life. Incorporate raw umber for shadows and extra contrast. A dash of burnt umber for those final details, and voilร !
That's it, guys! Your autumn scene is complete! ๐
